A Mesa man damaged internet equipment causing his home, a neighbor's home and a medical center causing it to close for several hours.

Court records show that on May 5 a man destroyed a Cox Communications box that provided internet connection to a Mesa medical center because he was "stressed."

Mesa police say that 31-year-old Zachary Joseph Ferroni allegedly pushed and pulled the cable box at the end of his driveway until the cable box was ripped from the ground.

Police say the medical center had close down and turn away patients for several hours while repairs were made.

His neighbor reportedly told police that Ferroni has done this multiple times in the past.

The damage to the communications box was estimated to be at least $2,000.

When confronted by police Ferroni reportedly admitted to this incident and two prior incidents telling them, "It's his way of dealing with stress."

Ferroni has been charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage.
