A convicted felon from Avondale stole a photo radar van in Phoenix.

Court records show that a man broke into and then drove away in a photo radar van in west Phoenix.

Police report that on June 2nd around 8:30 a.m. a man, later identified as 39-year-old Pedro Rodriguez Flores Junior, allegedly threw a large rock through the window of the van.

Witnesses say that Flores got into the photo radar van and drove away from where the van was parked near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Police say the specially equipped van is worth about $75,000.

Flores was spotted about 15 minutes later near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road where he was stopped and arrested.
