By reading the Yelp comments, it's hard to tell what people like more, the food or the owner. Detroit native David Najor is a hit with the customers and so are his Coney Dogs. And when was the last time you had a Faygo pop? That's what you'll get along with the hot dogs and hand-cut fries.

Leandra L. from Albuquerque said these wieners "rocked her world". What more do you need to know? This hot spot cooks hot dogs, sausage, and brats over an open flame. The chili cheese fries are also a popular choice.

3. Simon's Hot Dogs
Love hot dogs, but not the mystery meat? Simon's also offers vegetarian and vegan hot dogs on its menu. But this Sedona transplant's bread and butter are its Colombian style beef dogs with some tasty and unusual toppings like refried beans, tahini and bacon bits. Not necessarily all together!

4. Doglicious Hot Dogs
It's only been around for a few months, but Dogilicious is the underdog that's coming out swinging. "Literally too many options to name off in terms of gourmet dogs. The loaded Sonoran was delicious and the bread was fantastic," Yelp reviewer Anthony M. said about the place.

5. Short Leash Hot Dogs
It's built up quite a following over the past six years. Short Leash makes some creative concoctions on naan, an oven-baked flatbread. One of Short Leash's popular menu items is "The Bear" -- peanut butter, smoked gouda, bacon, cracker jacks and BBQ sauce. Who doesn't want to try that?
