The cliche goes, “you never know what is gonna come through that door.” Today’s one of a kind item is a harp music box combination.
Add it to the shelves of rare pieces of American history at Vintage Joe’s Americana in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“Our father’s, grandfathers, they made stuff to last,” said Joe Salamone, Owner of Vintage Joe’s Americana. “They didn’t have the commodity to go buy something else.”
Which is why you’ll find decades worth of records, music players and pop culture collectibles stacked to the ceiling.
A lot of the items at Vintage Joe’s were brought into Joe and either purchased by him or are on consignment. You’ll find vintage superhero action figured, Star Wars memorabilia, paintings, professional sports jerseys and even motorcycles in just the first half of the store.
However at this “if walls could talk” store, there is a mantra you might not expect.
“Love and respect for ourselves, and others,” said Joe. “Love is law.”
Joe uses these collectibles to spread peace. His workshop is open if you want to repair an old clock, there’s a kitchen in the back if you need a meal, and you won’t leave without a blessing.
“The mantra for Joe is, ‘for all,.'” said Joe.
