TALKING STICK ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT — Late-night cravers hoping to take a bite of White Castle's sliders during the overnight hours will soon get their wish.
Beginning on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, the fast-food restaurant will finally make the switch stay open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, a spokesperson confirmed Thursday afternoon in a news release. However, while the drive-thru will remain open 24 hours, the dining room will continue to close every day from 3 a.m. - 6 a.m.
Since making its Arizona debut in October 2019, White Castle has routinely closed its dining room and drive-thru during the overnight hours to "reset and restock" in preparation for the next day.
"Fans flocked to White Castle when we opened in October, exceeding our greatest expectations," said Orlondo Lopez, managing partner for the Scottsdale-area White Castle, in a statement. "We wanted to make sure we could meet White Castle's high standards for quality and service as we got up and running the first few months."
The restaurant, currently the largest White Castle location in the country, is located near the Loop 101 and Via de Ventura, within the Salt River's Talking Stick Entertainment District. It has a double-lane drive-thru, an outdoor patio, an open kitchen, ordering kiosks, and a small store with branded cups and t-shirts.
A spokesperson also confirmed that individual orders are continued to be limited to 60 sliders and that online orders and delivery orders via third-party companies are also not in operation. Both of those restrictions were quickly put into place on White Castle's opening day, which drew crowds who waited in hours-long lines outside the restaurant and at the drive-thru to be among the first to eat there.
