National parks across the country will waive admission fees on Saturday, Sept. 30, for National Public Lands Day.

In Arizona, that means admission to the Grand Canyon National Park, Saguaro National Park and Petrified Forest National Park is free.

It is one of the last fee-free days the national parks offer throughout the year. (The last one is Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 11-12.)

Flagstaff's Ballet Folkorico de Colores will perform at the Hopi Stage in Grand Canyon Village from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., according to a news release.

The fee-free day applies to the entrance fee only. You will still have to pay for concessions, camping reservations, tours, and any additional days you stay.

Because it is a "free" day, there will likely be an increase in traffic getting into the park and walking the trails.
