ABC15 has teamed up with The Valley Toyota Dealers to help organizations around the Valley who are Helping Kids Go Places!
The Edison Robotics Club helps kids develop technology skills.
For their efforts to Help Kids Go Places, the Edison Robotics Club has received a $500 VISA gift card courtesy of The Valley Toyota Dealers to help further their efforts in our community.

The robotics club challenges students to design, build, program, and partner with other teams in VEX competitions. Using the VEX IQ system, elementary and junior high students learn how to create and program robots to complete specific tasks in various tournaments throughout the school year. In the VEX EDR program, junior high students design more complex robots and program them to complete more complicated tasks in a tournament setting with other junior high as well as high school students. Through these experiences, students learn to problem solve, present research and design, and work with other teams to accomplish a variety of goals. Since introducing students to VEX robotics two years ago, ten teams have competed with all ten going to state and five of them competing at VEX World competitions!
