PHOENIX — ABC15 Arizona and The Spot Arizona 61 are launching a summer water drive to support St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) as Arizona heads into its hottest months. SVdP distributes approximately 23,000 bottles of water each week to people in need.
ABC15 Arizona and The Spot Arizona 61, in partnership with SVdP, Bashas’, Food City and AJ’s Fine Foods, are asking the community to donate bottled water and monetary gifts to help neighbors who need relief from the heat.
Dates:
Monday, June 1 – Tuesday, June 30
How to donate:
· All Bashas’, Food City and AJ’s Fine Foods locations throughout the state of Arizona will be accepting monetary donations at the register June 1-30 and water donations on Monday, June 1, Thursday, June 18, and Tuesday, June 23.
· All four Metro Phoenix St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores will be accepting water donations. Store locations are listed in the map below.
· Give online at abc15.com/water.
ABC15 and The Spot Arizona 61 will host a phone bank on Thursday, June 18, to give viewers an additional way to help our community. SVdP volunteers will be accepting donations during ABC15 newscasts throughout the afternoon, and the message of need will be on all ABC15 digital platforms.
