What was supposed to be a fun, friendly fundraiser at MCU Park at Coney Island got a bit too serious between New York's Finest and New York's Bravest.
A brawl broke out at the end of Saturday's game, which was created to raise funds for families of both the NYPD and FDNY.
"I think one of the FDNY guys exchanged words with the NYPD player and then from there, I couldn't see what was happening," freelance photographer Angel Zayas told WNBC in New York.
Zayas said he noticed one of the firefighters walking away from the scuffle with a bloodied face.
Fortunately, order was eventually restored and the game ended in handshakes. The NYPD, which won the game 29-13, said in a statement that both sides have patched things up and moved on.
