A 3-year-old boy has been taken to the hospital after falling into a backyard pool Monday morning.
Peoria fire officials say the boy's family took him out of the pool, near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road, and performed CPR on him.
Emergency personnel transported the boy, who was awake and breathing, to the hospital by ambulance for further evaluation.
It's unclear how long the boy was in the pool for.
