Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly kidnapped a teenage girl in Glendale.

Officers got a 911 call around 3:40 p.m. from the victim who said she was walking near 67th and Northern avenues when she was grabbed from behind.

Police say the girl told officers the male suspect dragged her to a nearby complex, and started to remove her clothing.

The teen said, for some reason, the suspect suddenly stopped and then walked away.

The teen called 911 and police tracked her location through the cell signal.

"That's scary, that is really scary," said Olivia Gomez, who lives near the scene, said of the situation.

"To just be pulled [off] the street like that?" Gomez said in disbelief.

Authorities tried to track the suspect with a police K9.

The suspect is described as a heavy set 30-year-old black male with a short afro. He was wearing all black clothing, including a sweatshirt and gloves.
