A Glendale computer engineer has been arrested for possessing thousands of images of child pornography.
Court records show that police found 10 DVDs in the man's home containing over 230,000 images of child pornography, some may be nearly 20 years old.
Police report that back in March they got a tip saying someone had uploaded images of child pornography to the cloud. Police were given the cell phone number associated with the cloud account. That number came back to a Glendale resident.
In April, police executed a search warrant on the home of computer engineer Lester Raymond Gallagher. Inside the 57-year-old's home they found all kinds of computer hardware, but of the 150 DVD/CDs they found, 10 of them had images of child pornography.
Police say there were over 230,000 images, some with images of children as young as five years old having sex with adults.
Police say they found evidence that suggests that Gallagher has been collecting child porn for nearly 20 years.
Gallagher has been charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
