A Glendale family needs your help finding their stolen cat.

"I know people without pets might not understand this but she is family and I've been attached to her for so long," Melissa Drake said.

Drake said her rescue cat, Abby, was inside her truck when the vehicle was stolen on March 8. The truck has been found, but Abby is still missing.

"I don't know how to function without having her here," Drake said.

Drake and her family have started an extensive search focused on the area near 19th and Glendale avenues. She believes the man who took Abby gave the cat to a family that just happened to be walking through a Fry's parking lot in that area.

"I can't even go to sleep at night without checking in. It's just an uncomfortable feeling not knowing where she is and how she is being cared for," Drake said.

To find Abby, Drake has started putting up flyers around Glendale with the cat’s picture on them.

Abby is described as a friendly cat with dark black and grey stripes. Drake said she was last seen inside a zebra-striped cat carrier.

Drake said she is offering a cash reward for anyone who can bring Abby home.

Glendale police are still searching for the suspect who stole Drake's truck. The carjacking was captured on surveillance video.

Witnesses said the suspect waved a gun during the theft.
