A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Buckeye Police Department for allegedly threatening a juvenile with a knife and slashing their car's tires.

Buckeye Police say Sergio Contreras Hurtado was arrested and booked into jail for aggravated assault and criminal damage charges stemming from a road rage incident on June 21.

Officers responded to the parking lot of a business on Verrado Way after they received calls of a man with a knife.

The victim reportedly told police that Hurtado held a knife to his face and slashed his car's tires.

The victim was not hurt during the incident, officials said.

Police say video footage captured the incident and witnesses helped in identifying Hurtado as the suspect.

Hurtado had reportedly told police that the victim cut him off and brake checked him several times while traveling on Interstate 10 near Perryville Road.

Police say the events that happened on I-10 between both drivers are unclear at this time.
