Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say a woman is in serious condition after a shooting in Chandler on Thursday morning.
Deputies were called to a home near Chandler Boulevard and Gilbert Road around 3 a.m. in response to a gunshot wound. When they arrived, they found a female victim in her 50s.
MCSO says she was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but non-life threatening injuries.
Two people at the scene were detained and detectives are investigating the circumstances behind the shooting. MCSO believes one of the men detained lived with the victim and is possibly the boyfriend of the victim.
