Suspect shot, killed by police in Phoenix Tuesday

PHOENIX - A suspect has died after being shot by police in west Phoenix Tuesday morning. 

The incident happened near 70th Avenue and Indian School Road just after 11 a.m. 

Phoenix police said officers located several stolen vehicles in the apartment complex when one of the vehicles went mobile.

The suspect was wearing a mask and gloves and left the scene, but then returned with the vehicle.  Police then confronted the suspect, but he ran from officers.

According to police, the suspect ran into a uniformed police officer. The officer pulled out a weapon and told the suspect to stop, but he did not listen to commands. 

The suspect was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition but has since died, according to police. He was identified on Wednesday by police as 23-year-old Adam Brogdon.
