Police are investigating why a woman ran out of a car with a child and stripped her clothing off after hitting a vehicle in West Phoenix.
Phoenix police said around 7:30 a.m. a woman was involved in a hit-and-run collision near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Police said the woman and a child left the vehicle and ran from the scene. The woman was seen stripping her clothing off and running out onto the roadway before police made contact with her.
The person driving the other vehicle involved in the collision was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the crash.
Police were unable to give an explanation for the woman's behavior after the incident.
