Approximately 30 firefighters battled a fire at an apartment complex in Phoenix on Wednesday morning.

The fire started just before 6:30 a.m. near 67th Avenue and Osborn Road. The fire was quickly upgraded to a first-alarm response because it spread to multiple apartment units.

Ten people, including five children, have been displaced due to the fire.

Vivian Garcia lives at the apartment complex said she lost everything in the fire and will have to start over.

"You know, you have to work hard to make your things, and in one minute it's gone," said Garcia.

Garcia says her neighbor noticed the smoke and woke her up, knocking on the door.

"She says, 'Come out, bring your kids out because the next one is burning', then I opened the door and saw the flames coming from that window," Garcia said.

She says her and her family will have to work hard start over after losing all of their belongings in the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
