Anyone headed out of town Friday evening on the I-17 northbound is urged to give themselves extra time because of holiday traffic and a crash that happened earlier in the day.
At one point in the afternoon the Arizona Department of Transportation reported a 15 mile backup.

ADOT also reported a four mile backup Friday afternoon for people using SR 87 to get to the Payson area.
