The Phoenix Police Department said they arrested a driver responsible for hitting and dragging an officer with a vehicle on Tuesday.
Officials said the officer was responding to a crash near 35th Avenue and Bell Road when a passing motorist struck him and dragged him for a short distance.
The officer suffered minor injuries, and the driver left the scene, police said.
The driver, who has not been identified, was arrested approximately four hours after the crash.
