Do you want to take home BB Bear for the holidays?

In October, a 2-month-old husky was brought to a Maricopa County Animal Care and Control facility after suffering a massive skull fracture.

Now, the husky is ready to find a forever home.

If you are interested in adopting the dog, visit azanimalrescue.org and tell them why you want BB Bear. You can also email your responses to bbbearadoption@gmail.com

You have until December 1 to apply, and only the first 50 applicants will be considered. Arizona residents only.

Due to his extensive injuries, BB Bear’s story has garnered national attention and some of the top neurologists in the United States reviewed his health records.

An MCACC spokesperson said it’s believed that BB Bear did not suffer damage to his brain stem. It was also determined that because of his young age, it’s possible that the part of his brain that was affected will recover over time.

BB Bear has recovered enough that he has started to be able to walk as well as eat and drink on his own.

It's believed that the pup's injuries were human-caused. Anyone with information about the husky or his previous owner(s) is urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
