Can hackers get into your computer?

What computer operating system are you using? Does it have the latest updates? No clue? That could be a serious problem.

Recently, hacking tools used by the National Security Agency (NSA) were leaked.

Hackers got that information and at least one security expert says they've hacked into at least 100,000 computers around the world.

Apparently, hackers can use the "tool" to install something on vulnerable computers and take them over.

There is good news, though.

Data DoctorsKen Colburn says if you have a newer Windows operating system and you allow updates, this shouldn't affect you.

That's because Microsoft sent out a repair in its updates. But Colburn says it only went to operating systems Vista and newer.

He says Microsoft does not support older systems so they wouldn't get the update.

And their support for Vista just expired, so it won't get any new security fixes.

So, check your operating system. You can turn on automatic updates. But if you have a Vista, XP or older system, you could be vulnerable.
