A Phoenix stepdad has been charged for allegedly abusing two boys under the age of four.

Court records show that the older brother, age 5, witnessed the abuse on his younger brothers.

Police report that on May 12, near 26th Street and Bell Road, 18-year-old Bryant Flores abused two of the three children he was watching that day.

Police say the victim's 5-year-old brother told them that Flores slapped a 1-year-old boy in the head, causing bruising to his face and ears. They also say that Flores hit the child in the chest and punched him in the back several times. Flores also reportedly pinched his nose and covered his mouth.

His 4-year-old brother was choked by Flores and hit in the head, suffering bruising to his right eye and left ear.

He was also allegedly picked up and dropped on the ground.

Police questioned Flores, who reportedly told them, that the children would not stop crying and he need to cover their nose and mouths to get them to stop. He denied dropping the 4-year-old, but did say he threw him onto the couch several times because he would not stay there.

Flores is the stepfather to the victims and is being charged with four counts of child abuse.
