Four roommates are in custody after they were caught shoplifting from a Scottsdale Macy's store.

Police say that on May 1 four Glendale roommates; Liliana Meneses, Aynel Perez Cabrera, Anyelo Cabrera and Sergio Ivonet went into the Macy's store near 70th Street and Scottsdale Road.

They were observed by off-duty officers as each of them went into the dressing rooms with merchandise and came out with items placed in bags. They reportedly left the store without paying for the items. Police say that the two women were found to have "theft prevention" devices in their purses.

The value of the clothing stolen by the four was about $1,000.

The foursome all live together in Glendale near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The men listed no source of income but the two women say they work at exotic dance clubs in Phoenix.

All four have been charged with organized retail theft, shoplifting and removal of theft detection devices.
