A Phoenix man is facing sex abuse charges after allegedly becoming involved with an underage girl and developing the pair's relationship on Facebook.
Police report that 29-year-old Felix Joel Perez Fong met the victim at a family party and continued to communicate with her on Facebook. In the correspondence, Fong reportedly acknowledged several times that he was more than twice the victim's age.
Police said Fong and the victim messaged sexually explicit photos of each other before setting up a rendezvous in early January.
Fong allegedly picked the girl up from school in his car, where he committed sexual acts on her. In the following days, police say, the two sent each other pictures of themselves with hickeys.
Police used Facebook photos of Fong's car to get a license plate number and track him down.
Fong was arrested by police on Monday near 35th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road. During his interview, Fong allegedly admitted to police that he touched the girl in a sexual manner.
He is being held on a $150,000 cash bond on charges of sexual conduct with a minor and sexual abuse.
