A teacher at a Gilbert Daycare facility is accused of inappropriately touching two children last school year.

Police report that they were contacted on January 18 by the mother of a 6-year-old girl. The mother learned that her daughter was inappropriately touched by a teacher at the Children's Learning Adventure near Power and Williams Field Road.

Police say the incident happened last school year between September 2015 and May 2016 while she was in an after school program.

Police also reportedly found another victim who gave a similar story while she was in the same after school program at the same time.

On February 1, police spoke with 24-year-old Tanner Anthony Jacob Lang, who allegedly acknowledged that he knew both victims. Police also say Lang did not admit or deny any inappropriate touching.

In a statement, Children's Learning Center said:

"This former staff member was placed on leave as soon as the allegations were brought to our attention and was subsequently terminated once we learned of his arrest. Children’s Learning Adventure cooperated with the Gilbert Police Department in its investigation of this matter and will continue to do so."

Lang has been charged with two counts of child abuse and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on February 22.
