Tom's Tavern - the downtown Phoenix lunch spot shut its doors after 87 years. Owner and chef Jim Gallen said he was disappointed with the closure, but thanks his patrons of their years of support.

Stingray Sushi - Stingray Sushi closed its third and final location at Biltmore Fashion Park quietly at the end of May. A note taped to the door thanked guests for "14 years of serving sushi" and said "decisions to close our doors are never an easy personal decision, but always a financial one."

Crab & Mermaid - The Scottsdale restaurant was open for just over a year before closing. A spokesperson for Square One Concepts, the restaurant group behind Bourbon & Bones and Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers, said there wasn't enough demand. However, the group is planning to launch a new concept in the space in the future.

Cyprus Grill - A Greek restaurant in Chandler. Sister restaurant, The Ivy Mediterranean Lounge, announced Cyprus Grill's closure on Facebook. "We will be diverting all of our attention here [to The Ivy] to introduce fresh ideas and amazing new things! Stay tuned."

Social Box Neighborhood Eatery - Social Box was a restaurant in Chandler. Matt Landkamer told ABC15 that the closure was due to increasing costs and decreasing revenue. "We tried very hard and we had some amazing employees and patrons. Sadly, it just didn't translate into enough dollars," he said.

Remington's at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort - The Scottsdale resort plans to renovate the space and turn it into an events venue for weddings, conferences, and galas, according to a news release. "This next phase allows us to continue elevating the group guest experiences and expand our reach."
