In an effort to cut down on speed related crashes, the Gilbert Police Department will sometimes conduct highly visible speed education assignments. Drivers will notice officers looking down on traffic from bucket trucks, so as to raise the drivers awareness to slow down.
When needed officers will pull cars over for a warning or speeding ticket if necessary. The goal is for drivers to see these police officers and slow down to the the posted speed limit, to keep everyone on the road safe.
