WATCH: Wild pitch lands in umpire's pocket

Most of the incredible, ridiculous plays that happen in baseball -- or in all of pro sports, for that matter -- have happened before. 

But after watching the following happen during Tuesday night's game between the Padres and Pirates in San Diego, we knew we had some research to do.

Check out this delivery from Pirates pitcher Jeff Locke that bounced off the dirt and right into the pocket of home plate umpire Ryan Blakney.

After a quick YouTube search, we did find one other incident of this, in a game between the Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox in 1998.
