One day after President Trump praised NASCAR for refusing to engage in any protests during the national anthem, Dale Earnhardt Jr. offered his support of "peaceful protest" via Twitter.
The 42-year-old two-time Daytona 500 winner cited a quote from John F. Kennedy in his a tweet Monday. "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable," he wrote.

Trump has been critical of players who have chosen to sit or kneel during the playing of the national anthem before NFL games, and on Sunday, he praised NASCAR for not following suit.
So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won't put up with disrespecting our Country or our Flag - they said it loud and clear!

ABC News reported Earnhardt has been critical of Trump in the past. In January, he said "America is created by immigrants" in response to Trump's proposed travel ban. Earnhardt noted his family immigrated from Germany to the United States in the 18th century.
