When a high school relay race gains national attention, you know something special must have happened.
Indeed it did during the final leg of Saturday's 4x100 relay at the Division III Arizona state finals.
With his team in fifth place heading into the final leg of the relay, Luke Zuluaga of Seton Catholic High School in Chandler pulled off this incredible comeback to earn his third relay championship of his senior season.
Zuluaga's comeback with such little time to spare was so improbable that it gained national attention from outlets such as ESPN and USA TODAY. Not bad for the multi-sport athlete who also plays football at Seton and committed to run track at the Air Force Academy next year.
