Last week, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said the drama that takes place during the NFL Draft sometimes really does reflect the fiction displayed in the movie Draft Day starring Kevin Costner.
Well, Friday wasn't quite that dramatic for the Cardinals -- but for a few minutes, there was a little bit of drama in the team's war room.
During the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Cardinals worked hard to negotiate a trade with the Chicago Bears to move up nine spots. Since each team only has seven minutes to make a pick in the second round, the negotiation was fast and furious, with one member of Cardinals management on the phone with the Bears, and another member on the phone with the man they moved up to pick, Washington safety Budda Baker.
Everything worked out as the Cardinals wanted -- and as you can see in the video below, they were ecstatic to add a player who has already drawn comparisons to the Honey Badger himself, Tyrann Mathieu.
