It's time for Fouhy's small stars! This week, we're headed to Scottsdale to check in on Goshin Karate and their 4-, 5- and 6-year-old little karate stars.

Welcome to karate class! These kids seem to be having a lot of fun, such as "pool noodle fights," according to 5-year-old Nirmay.

What's a pool noodle fight?

"Like you fight with pool noodles," he said.

So, Julian: What's your favorite thing about karate?

"Jumping jacks, toe touches, punches and kicks," he said.

And where'd you get that cool bandana?

"Oh, my bandana?"

Yeah... your bandana.

"My dad got it.. But I didn't want it," he said.

Well, it sure looks cool! And while the kids are having fun, they're also learning some pretty important life skills! Just ask 4-year-old Mojo.

"Stuff that you use to make the strangers go away," he said.

So, R.J., what's your favorite thing here at Goshin?

"We do fun stuff ... like self defense and some punches," he said.

So, how long do you think you'll be doing karate?

"'Til my mom and dad sign me out of it," he said.

That's cool... but you do have some pretty neat tips on your belt. How many are there?

" I  got like, maybe, let me count them... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ... 7!" he said.

So, what do you get those for?

"We get tips for whenever we do good stuff, and whenever the coach says or doesn't say," he said.

Well, congratulations, to R.J. and all the kids at Goshin Karate, because you're this week's Small Stars!
