Two Arizonans were featured on Saturday Night Live last night, and they did not disappoint.
Oscar-winning actress and Scottsdale native Emma Stone hosted the show for the fourth time, shouting out her mother and grandmother, who were both in the audience.
However, the real hilarity and focus on Arizona began when a skit riffing ABC's The View cast Aidy Bryant (who went to Xavier High School) as Meghan McCain.
The panelists gave their take on Former United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen's firing, and quickly shifted to the hosts' hot-takes on the border crisis.
“Can I just say something? As the Princess of Arizona, there is a crisis at the border and the border is right up in my Arizona - which was founded on sun burnt women selling turquoise jewelry, not rando Mexicans," Bryant said. "And that’s not racist because my makeup artist is gay."
Bryant's impression of the "Princess of Arizona" was so entertaining, McCain took a break from her Twitter hiatus to comment.
"I’m not supposed to be on twitter because of hiatus BUT this sketch is hilarious, and being parodied by @SNL is a huge pop cultural honor. - Signed, your old intern and “the princess of Arizona,'" McCain wrote.
