Sweet Dee’s Bakeshop in Scottsdale, Ariz. is whipping up some amazing holiday treats.

“We always try to think a little out of the box for our pastries,” said Danielle O’Day, the owner and head chef at Sweet Dee’s.

One treat, in particular, is tree-worthy delicious. It’s a white chocolate raspberry mousse disguised as a bright red ornament.

“The first thing out of my mouth was, ‘who did this?'”‘ said O’Day.

That would be none other than Crystal Cass, the pastry chef at Sweet Dee’s.

“I start off by making the white chocolate raspberry mousse. Then adding the freeze-dried raspberries and peanut butter puff cereal. Set in the freezer overnight, [and] put them together using a little white chocolate ganache as glue,” said Cass.

And finally, the big pay off, a red mirror glaze.

“It’s called a mirror glaze because it’s really shiny and reflective,” said Cass.

Decorating is just as satisfying to watch with a snowflake decoration made of (duh) chocolate. The white chocolate ornaments take two days to make but are out the door faster than Santa on a deadline.

“Not only does it look amazing, but it tastes even better if they get up the nerve to eat something that beautiful,” said O’Day.
