Not since peanut butter and jelly has there been a more perfect combo.
“If you love glitter, unicorns and cupcakes this is the place to be,” said Tracy Lombardi, owner of Unicorn Cupcake Boutique.
Fitting that Unicorn Cupcake Boutique is a shiny, glittery oasis where everything has been touched by the magical unicorn.
“Everybody wants to do something unicorny because it’s fun. They are real after all,” said Lombardi.
Lombardi started her own food truck, Big Cupcake Truck, years ago. She decided to cash in on her following and set up shop in Scottsdale, Ariz.
“Cupcake shops are boring, and I wanted more of a destination spot,” said Lombardi. “What goes better with cupcakes and unicorns than glitter?”
The floors are pink and glittery, the cupcakes are custom made and the gold glitter wallpaper is imported from Europe. To top it off, most of the items for sale are handmade.
“We have lots of local vendors so we try and support our local community by having all their products in here which is great for us and great for them,” said Lombardi.
You can go all out and host a deluxe princess party, set up shop at the selfie station, or receive a glitter tattoo, if you come in on the right day.
“It’s amazing. It’s like the biggest hit on my Snapchat,” said glitter artist Ariana Limon. “Everything is so colorful and sparkly.”
“It’s a shop for everyone. It’s our happy place. I mean who doesn’t love unicorns?” said Lombardi.
