Donut Bar has a cult-following in San Diego. People wait in line to try Chef Santiago Campa’s creations until they sell out. Now, Donut Bar has expanded to Scottsdale giving us Arizonans a chance to see (or taste) what the hype is all about.

Chef Santiago Campa started Donut Bar in San Diego back in 2013. Since then, the shop has expanded to Las Vegas and Scottsdale, with more locations to come. The menu includes 12 staple items and up to 60 other flavors that rotate regularly.

One of Donut Bar’s most famous staple flavors is “Homer’s Donut.” The Simpson’s-inspired treat is a huge yeast doughnut covered in a pink glaze and topped with rainbow sprinkles. The yeast Chef Campa uses makes the doughnuts expand into their massive size. So while it’s undoubtedly impressive, it’s also unavoidable.

Some other notable menu items? The grilled cheese doughnut, homemade strawberry milk, mimosas and beer.

The shop is open Monday through Friday at 7 a.m. until they sell out and Saturday and Sunday at 8 a.m. until they sell out.
