A sheriff’s K-9 was injured when he came upon an unlikely suspect while in pursuit of another in Oregon.
Coos County Sheriff’s officials say a man with felony warrants fled from officials on Saturday, forcing deputies to unleash their K-9.
While on an active search for the suspect, the dog, Odin, came upon a porcupine that shot him with 200 quills.
The sheriff's office posted photos of Odin in a kennel with long quills stuck in his snout and paws.
He was immediately taken to a veterinarian, sedated and treated for two hours, officials say.
The suspect was not apprehended and officials are asking the public for help locating him.
