A woman has been arrested in northwestern Arizona after allegedly shooting at a Bullhead City police officer and then barricading herself in a bedroom.
Police say an officer responded about 9:30 a.m. Thursday to a report of a verbal domestic dispute between 47-year-old April Dezerienne Silvis and her mother.
When the officer arrived at the scene, police say Silvis fired one round from a rifle in the direction of the officer.
She then barricaded herself in a bedroom and refused to talk to police.
After a three-hour standoff, a SWAT team deployed tear gas and forced Silvis to exit out of the bedroom window.
