MESA — Spring Training will look a little different this year due to COVID-19 and fans have lots of questions concerning concessions at Valley stadiums.

The second home of The Second City's Chicago Cubs is taking extra precautions when it comes to cashless transactions by implementing two new forms of technology at Sloan Park.

REVERSE ATM:
Introducing the reverse ATM!

You know what an ATM is, but have you seen one that operates in reverse? You insert cash into the machine and it uploads the amount onto a prepaid Mastercard credit card. The card is then dispensed like a receipt for your cashless convenience.

The two ATMs will be located behind home plate on the concourse and in the centerfield plaza.

The card can be used for food, beverages, and merchandise at the team store. If you do not use all of the funds during your time at the stadium, the card can be used at your local gas station or anywhere Mastercard is accepted.

MOBILE ORDERING:
When you go see the 2016 World Series champions, you can use the card at any concession stand or place your order from your seat using the MLB Ballpark app.

You can download the mobile ordering app before entering the stadium or take a picture and scan a QR code upon entering the stadium.

Open the app, select "Mobile Ordering," choose the concession stand and add your eats to the cart. Check out using your credit card or, if you brought cash, visit one of the reverse ATMs to procure a card. Once you have completed the order, a prompt will ask you for your phone number. A text will be sent to your phone with a QR code. You will then head to the "Mobile Ordering" line at the stand and show the QR code to the cashier to receive your food and beverages.

For everyone's health and safety, the food will not be made until the QR code has been scanned. You can order alcohol through mobile ordering, but you will need to prove that you are at least 21 years old by showing the cashier a government-issued ID upon retrieval.

Once you place an order, it cannot be modified. If you want extra garlic fries, you will need to start another order. If you place an order but forget to pick it up, do not fret. You will only be charged once the QR code is scanned at the stand.
