St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance is always there to help the community and the need is even greater this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brenna Anderson, like many people, is finding herself in need of help for the first time ever.
Anderson works for a Valley hotel, which was forced to shut down at the beginning of the pandemic. The longer the business stalled, the more she found herself in need and facing difficult challenges.
"All of a sudden things you hadn't had to think about before, of rent and car payments and bills... am I going to have to sacrifice one to make the other?"
Anderson found help, like so many others, through St. Mary's and is encouraging others to reach out if they're in need of a helping hand.
As part of ABC15's Operation Santa Claus, which marks 20 years in 2020, we're raising money for St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, as well as Special Olympics Arizona, Chicanos por la Causa (CPLC), Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC), and Military Assistance Mission, five amazing community charities.
