Arizona Healthy Working Families, the group behind a ballot initiative to make the state's minimum wage $12 an hour by 2020, wants to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the measure from making it on November's ballot.

The group filed a motion in Maricopa County Superior Court on Monday to dismiss a lawsuit, which was filed by the Arizona Restaurant Association earlier this month. The lawsuit questions the petition signatures filed to get it in front of voters in November.

AZ Healthy Working Families submitted more than 271,000 signatures to the Secretary of State's Office to get the measure on November's ballot.

"Let's allow Arizona voters to have their say," Suzanne Wilson, a spokeswoman with AZ Healthy Working Families, told ABC15.

Roopali Desai, a lawyer representing the restaurant association in the case, could not be reached for comment Monday.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for Thursday at 8:45 a.m.
