Coconino County officials have arrested a homeowner after a wildfire spread over 75 acres on Sunday in the Winona area, 10 miles east of Flagstaff. 

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office said 54-year-old Steve Carter was arrested in connection with the fire. Carter was reportedly burning yard debris when the fire got out of control. 

Carter was booked for endangerment, reckless burning and criminal damage. 

According to the Arizona State Forestry, a fire started near Copley, east of Leupp road, and burned more than 86 acres.

At one point, 75 homes in the Winona area were evacuated. At 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, all residents were allowed to return to their homes. One home and several smaller structures were burned in the fire.
