Officials with the Arizona Department of Transportation seized more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana inside a fake delivery van.

The bust happened on I-15 in northwestern Arizona on Wednesday evening.

Officials say a package delivery van with authentic-looking markings was spotted with an out-of-state plate. Local vans should have Arizona plates and registration, but the vehicle was found to be registered to someone in North Carolina.

The driver was seen making several traffic violations before being stopped by an ADOT officer.

A drug-sniffing dog with ADOT located large bags inside the van filled with 1,113 pounds of marijuana, five grams of mushroom-based hallucinogenics, and vials of illegal steroids worth $7,850.

The 48-year-old driver was booked into jail and will be transferred to a Kingman jail.
