A 10-year-old boy from Chino Valley has died after allegedly being severely abused by his mother and another man.

Chino Valley police say 10-year-old Christian Pearson died Sunday night after being found beaten, bound, and burned three days prior.

Police originally charged his mother, 34-year-old Julianna Moreno, and 36-year-old Daniel Terry in the crime for attempted first-degree murder, child abuse and aggravated assault. Police are in contact with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office and are now recommending that the charges against the pair be upgraded to first-degree murder.

On the day where Pearson was abused at his home, June 8, police say Moreno and Terry were having a yard sale in the 1200 block of Poco Lane. Police are hoping to speak with anyone who was at the yard sale. Their phone number is 928-636-4223.

According to officials, Pearson's organs were donated.
