PHOENIX — Arizona is the worst state for teachers, according to a new study.
WalletHub compiled statistics from various sources for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, ranking Arizona dead last at 51.
The rankings were based on multiple factors including salaries, turnover rates, competition, student-to-teacher ratios, school spending, school system ratings and more. Unfortunately, Arizona ranks among the worst in nearly every category, according to the data.
Arizona’s company at the bottom of the list includes states like New Hampshire, Hawaii, Louisiana and West Virginia.
The best states for teachers include North Dakota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Wyoming and Connecticut.
