Yet another tunnel has been discovered at the U.S.-Mexico border by border patrol officials in California.

The El Centro Sector Border Patrol agency discovered a tunnel while conducting routine patrols along the border just two miles east of the Calexico, California port of entry.

Border agents say the hole is 18 inches in diameter along the banks of the All-American Canal.

Lumber and electrical wiring were located inside the tunnel which is about 3 by 3 feet wide and 142 feet in length. Agents say the tunnel's origin began about 60 feet south of the border physically in Mexico.

Just three weeks ago, another tunnel was discovered along the Calexico border. This is now the third tunnel found in the El Centro Sector area since April 2015, officials say.

An unfinished tunnel was discovered just last month along the Nogales-Mexico border. The tunnel was about 80 feet long and extends approximately 30 feet into Arizona east of the Morley Port of Entry.

Any activity along the border can be reported to the border community threat hotline at 1-800-901-2003.
