PHOENIX- Get your fat pants ready.

You can get your snack game on at Snacky Snacks Game and Snack Fest on June 14 at the North Phoenix Baptist Church.

This day-long event starts at noon and parties on until 8:00 pm. The festival is expected to have at least 34 local businesses ranging from food vendors to boutiques to balloon artists!

The cuisines vary from different parts of the world. You can get a Thai skewer from Chang Noi Thai Grill or if you’re feeling spunky, you can get a gluten-free, vegan cookie from Cookie Bar Queen. Other local food businesses include:

– Claudine’s Kitchen (Lebanese)

–  Mango Rabbits (bubble waffles)

– Whyld Ass (vegan mac and cheese)

– Chef Mum (Chinese)

– Boulder Gourment Jerky Chips (beef jerky)

– Happy Buns (Asian pastries)

You get the point.

“I wanted to organize this event because I believe food and games bring people together. This is to be a community event where you can enjoy new foods with your friends and family. You can meet new friends over a fun board game. Some of my own lasting friendships have started at a game night,” said Jason Kwan, Creator of Snacky Snacks.

In addition to the 21 different food vendors, over a dozen local retail shops will be there too!

But wait, there’s more!

While you’re munching on a big bag of kettle corn, you can get your gaming on. The festival will have traditional boards game like Monopoly, card games, lawn games, video games and… a Super Smash Bros Tournament!

“You can win fun prizes such as a private escape room. We will also have corn hole and giant Jenga for people to play. Lastly, Phoenix Gaming Lounge is organizing our board game library. You can discover new board games to play, and they will provide demos.”
