Isn't it frustrating when you can't find a lid for a pot or storage container?

The Charles Viancin Silicone Lids are supposed to solve that problem.

But will they work?

Let me try it before you buy it.

The claim is that the lids act like a large suction cup and therefore creates an airtight seal for hot and cold food.

They come in different sizes and designs and are supposed to be oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

So let's give it a try.

First I put the lid on a bowl with water and right away it created an airtight seal.

Next I used it on a pan to steam some veggies and again, I’m impressed.

Last I used it in the microwave to heat my food and the silicone lid did not disappoint me.

It actually worked.

Still I found the lids are not good for traveling because if it gets knocked over, the lid doesn't stay on.

I have to give the silicone lids a thumbs up.

I bought them at Bed Bath and Beyond... The 9 inch cost $9.99 and the 11 inch cost $12.99.

But I found an even better deal on amazon.com... A four piece set for $32.

So now you can save on plastic and you don't have to spend time searching for the right lids.
