Here's how it works:
You download the app for free on your smartphone. Take pictures of your shopping receipts. Earn "coins" that can be redeemed for real cash via Amazon eGift Cards or PayPal. You can also earn "spins" instead of coins. There is a "Hog Slots" area, like a slot machine, and you can spin to earn that way as well. Plus, you can be entered for a chance to win sweepstakes prizes.
Let's talk coins. For example, if your receipt totals $50-$100, you can earn ten coins. And, it goes up from there! You need 1,000 coins to get $5. So, it could potentially take a while to make money.
In about three years, Isaac has received about $185 back from Receipt Hog. That total will be more or less depending on how often you use the app.
